07 street bob was my daily runner but now it seems that my 08 bones will be my new runner 20 miles one way every mon-fri and then of course as much as possible on the weekends. But this is all of course when I'm not deployed.
My "commute" now is only about ten minutes each way, four times per day (I come home for lunch). But I still ride when it is not raining (I have to dress up for work). I have ridden back and forth to work as much as possible for 30 years.
I ride a bagger of course. It's comfortable, has bags to store all my junk and tunes to make the cummute even better. My bike is a 01 Electra Glide Classic. I get over 44 mpg.
Before I became disabled, I commuted from Pine Co. at 9,700 ft. to DIA east of Denver, 5000ft......176 miles one way......5 days a week......temps could be pretty extreme......might be 75 on the way to work and in the low 40s by the time I got home...close to midnight.
Now since I'm just getting back to ridin (06 Fatboy triked), I've only been able to put about 500 miles in the last 2 years.....But it sure is great when I'm able too!!!
I commute five days a week to my job as a public defender, 77 miles from door to door each way. When the weather permits and when I don't have a lot of court appearances I ride my '03 Fatboy. I wear khakis and a dress shirt and keep a supply of sport coats and ties at the office.
I get on my Crossbones every morning, home for lunch, then do it again - I only drive if it's pouring in NW FL. Was driving 16 mi one way, now about 4, and lovin every minute of it!
