Who uses the bike as a commuter for work

I ride 20 miles one way rain sun or cold no highway but not quite stop and go either (about 20 stop lights usually get alot of green) I do this everyday on an 06 heritage classic and I love it. I suggest if your going to use the bike as a commutor than bags will make life a lot easier. I also use my bike to go anywhere else I need as well.I don't own a car those 4 wheel things belong to my wife who is generally mad at me so I only get to use the 4WT when she feels like being nice.

I ride about 120 miles roundtrip. Rain, cold, or whatever right up to thanksgiving. Usually put on about 10-12k a year. Have to carry tools, that's the biggest bitch. I have a 2007 FXST with about 15k on it right now, no problems whatsoever. I absolutely hate driving a car when I could be riding. People say I'm crazy, or stupid. Bikers say that, some of them won't take their bikes out cause they'll get dirty, Garage jewelry. Some of them don't like to be out of their comfort level, we will leave that alone.

About 40 miles round trip for me, I ride all I can, I will say "Weather permitting. Though I am not worried about me getting wet, or the bike getting dirty, I do hate rush hour here in the St. Louis area. And don't trust 90% of the cagers on the road WITH me in the rain. So if it's raining when I leave, I hop in the truck, if it calls for rain during the day, but it's nice when I leave, the FXSTS for me, and if I get wet on the way home, oh well....
I ride ALL year long, with a snowmobile suit, and gloves, full face helmet, and scarf during the winter, if the roads are clear, and no chance for snow I RIDE!
