Eyeballs shaking - Quick detach windshield

RE: Eyeballs shaking - Quick detach windshield
By chance, do you wear a helmet?

Sometimes the worst buffeting is caused by the helmet sun visor/or overall shape of the helmet. If legal in your state, try a ride without the helmet, or if you can, remove the visor and see if the buffeting goes away.

RE: Eyeballs shaking - Quick detach windshield
I get the very high frequency buffet. My Deuce had stock quick detach, sport model I guess, which was fairly short to begin with. I whacked 3" off top trying to minmize buffet....no change...still buffets. Changed rake of windscreen...no change. About the same with no helmet, full face and 3/4, visors up or down. The bag trick helps delay it. A leather jacket bungeed across bars helps a bit too...but odd in Houston heat. Scrunching down low or exaggerating upright is about same. I even tried fabricating a spoiler for helmet with no change. I have accepted fact that it is a tradeoff....accept wind on torso and bugs in teeth and flying road debris...OR at 70+ mph expect your eyes to get shaken. I now realize that is one of the advantages of full fairing baggers....Deuce stays anyway. \\; John
