Everything that's gray except the oil bag, tank console&nbsp\\;and rocker boxes... Pretty much everything else will be black or matte black by next spring..

 

I did drill the 3/8" holes out to a 1/2" in the mounting bracket - gave me some wiggle room - not sure if it was really needed though. No other mod to pipes needed.

 

HDFXCW, I am also planning to do black signal mirrors (along with black levers). For one thing, they will solve the tank clearance problem for a tank lift without cluttering the forks.

Whose mirrors are you using? I saw some nice-looking ones on the Heartland website. There is a running-light-&-turn-signal version and a turn-signal-only version. Would you think that the running light version could be used on a Rocker with the existing wiring?

Here's my plan for a Vivid Black FXCW-C:
wheels and sprocket from FXCW
V&H black short shots
bobber seat (Heartland)
HD drag bars
curved laydown plate holder (need source)
Heartland signal mirrors in black
tank raised 2"
flush gas gauge and cap in black
powdercoat gloss black (unless available from HD): tail lights, plain round A/C cover, horn cover, tank brackets, foot control levers, chain cover, hand levers, plate holder

In effect, just leave the engine/tranny, forks, headlamp, and tank strip in bright metal.

 

I&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; used HD 92068-08 led lighted mirror set black - they have running lights and turn signals - these replaced front blinkers and were connected to existing wiring.
