RE: RUBBER FENDER BUMP STOP- ROCKER
Hey Lenny, good question. I think someone posted that the 07 softail standard would work. They said it was smaller and allowed more travel. I just left the stock bumper on mine. I would like a little more travel myself. I wouldnt lower mine any more than I already have. But I think with a thinner bumper it wouldnt bottom out as often.

DawgHamilton posted this fix a few weeks ago.

Well I lowered my rocker c and replaced the stop with a standard softail stop. That did not work at all and with the wife on the back we hit a pothole and crashed her seat into the top of the fender. So... I went back to the drawing board and calculated that an additional .375" spacer glued to the softail stop will work. So far all is good with now rigid ride and no fender crashing. For anyone that wants to know here are the specifics:
 \\;\\\\\\;
- Standard softail stop from harley. $10
- .375" x 1.25" bar stock cut to 6"
- Drill and tap 2 holes 3.5" apart and centered
- Loctite waterproof adhesive. Make sure it does rubber to metal
- Cut nubs off back of stop, glue, install, RIDE...

Windeed, thats only a fix for the mistake of removing the bumper and putting one on that is to small. If you leave the stock bumper on there is nothing to fix. And it isnt rigid. To me messing with the bumper is a no-no, dont do it, leave it be, dont, stop it, quit, what are you doing, are you crazy,wait till i tell mom, youll be sorry, HEY AABBOOTT. LOL
