Default New O2 sensor seal rings needed?

guys,

are new O2 sensor seal rings needed when installing new pipes? Manual says to install new ones, but pipe instructions do not mention this. thoughts? advice?

NO you do not need to replace the orings if the bike is relativly new.&nbsp\\;

Is there any trick to avoid damaging or stripping the sensor when you replace pipes? I've heard sometimes the threads strip. I'm planning to soak it with WD40 before I try to remove the sensors.
