Default Synthetic Oil runs cooler??

I've heard that synthetic oil lowers your engine temp. Is this noticeable enough to pay the difference for the oil??

I think so. My bike has just under 10k mi. on it. I know that in my truck it improves the gas mileage. I am sold on AMSoil. Just try it and see.

Oh yes!!! And even more important it works better than Dino oil! Much higher shear temperature. I would not run regular oil in my bike.

I would've never thought I'd be saying it but I really think it does.&nbsp\\; My bike is consistenly running around 10 degrees cooler since I switched to synthetic.&nbsp\\; Worth the extra few dollars to me.

Wrench added dino after my last round of work. Now its consistently 20 - 25 degrees hotter than with the Mobil1.

Where are you getting your engine temperature from?

Amsoil in the engine, 20w50, in the primary, Amsoil Gear lube in the transmission. No problem hitting neutral, doesn't get over 200 degrees, more horsepower because of reduced friction, everything feels slicker than two eels screwing in a bucket of snot, how you goin' to beat that?

Synthetic oils do a much better job with the heat.&nbsp\\;I think the main cooling effect is noticed when you get your motor running a little more rich. I am a firm believer in Stage 1 mods.
