It depends on what type of saddlebag you want to run. I ran throwover bags ocassionally on my fatboy in front of and over the detatchable bar. If you want to run them detachable also, you can get a different set for your docking point hardware that is made by ghost brackets or e-z brackets, that will enable you to have the same feature as your sissy bar on the saddlebags also. It will not affect the sisy bar function, it only sticks out further for the point that the bags attach. Hope this helps.
