Default Added a tool box to my 05 Deluxe (pics)

Needed storage for cell phone, sunglasses, keys, etc...small stuff.

Like the clean, bar2bar, no-saddlebag, cruiser look.

All I could find last year was the license plate bag (yuck, but it's all I could find)

So, decided to do the chrome tool box. It looks better in person, couldn't have turned out better.

Yahh, your right, that wasn't a great looking bag. The toolbox does look awesome on your bike. I personally think the toolboxes are great. I have 2. I also have added a bracket on the back of my plate that a w/s bag attaches to. It is actuall pretty clean. When we get past our rain out here I will take and post more pics. You have a great looking bike!

What's your lady think of it? Does it get in her way either while sitting, while going down the road (sometimes I can get my girl to curve her heels up onto my thighs so she can "stretch" her legs), or while she's getting on the bike?

I'm just about to get one, but want to keep "mama" happy, you know? :-)

MOS,

The tool box really doesn't get in the way, but I have the matching rear boards for her with the extended support bracket (upper picture). It keeps her feet out away from the tool box.

Retro

Are those the Harley passenger footboards? If so, did you buy them from an HD place? If not, what did you get them for? I have been looking for them anywhere but HD, too expensive.

Retro,

Great looking bike dude.

Those boards must make all the difference. How hard were they to fit?

Anything to watch out for?

Hope you get to put some miles it soon! Still bad here!

I'll differ to Retro and others to answer questions about fitting (I'm a newb and had mine put on while they were doing other accessories).

BUT I can say that my lady really likes them. She didn't feel comfortable at all on the pegs (of course, she is new to riding also). With the floorboards she can change her foot position some and they make her feel much more stable. (so she says)
