The 06 Fatboy I just bought has the 8 degree fuel injectors. I read that they changed them to 25 degree mid year. I have owned the bike for only a couple of days and havent noticed any problems. I did a search on injectors and the posts were fairly old.&nbsp\\; Now that all the 06's have many more miles on them, my bike only has 1800 miles, Im wondering what the final verdict is on this. Should I take it down and try to get the dealership to change them out. Will it run better? The bike only has a month or two left on warrany - not sure if that matters on this type of thing. Also, I have a stage 1 with V&amp\\;H and K&amp\\;N - not sure if the dealership will provide new dowload.

 

I have an 06 Fatboy and back in 07 while still under warranty my dealership installed the 25degree injectors with no charge at all and told me that at the time all 06 softail injectors would be changed from 8 to 25 when the bike was in for any type of servicing.I was just getting my oil changed when they did mine. I asked them if it was being treated as a call back and they told me somewhat of a yes answer. Just thought I would pass it on. &nbsp\\; Ray

 

Spoke with MoCo and they will change out injectors BUT will reset FI mapping to stock per the Service Bulliten. This is no good because the bike has performance pipes and filter.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; What they did say is to ask the dealership when installing the injectors not remap back to stock, but install new injectors only. They said that it should still be mapped appropriately for the pipes, filter and new injectors. Does this sound right? Would the original Stage 1 mapping with the old injectors also be a good map with the new injectors?

The new 25 degree injectors have 6 holes verses 3.

 

they will not change them if you hae a SERT or other fuel mngt system on the bike

 

No SERT installed or anythingelse installed. Just pipes and filter with download.

 

I asked for the 25 degree injectors last year. They asked me if I had any trouble like the occasional backfire and I said yes. They were happy to install the new injectors. I can't tell much difference. I use a PC-III which has handled injection matters flawlessly.
