6'1 here but did the same thing with the bars and forward controls. \\;\\\\\\; Luv the ride now. \\;\\\\\\; I take alot of 3 hour trips back and forth to where I grew up from the twin cities and wasn't diggin those drag bars for too long. \\;\\\\\\;

EDIT: \\; But you will need different cables.
