Default Quieting V&H Pipes

I installed a set of Vance and Hines Quiet Series Double Barrel pipes on my Deluxe and am looking for any ideas besides ear plugs to make it a little quieter. I like the look and they do sound good, but get annoying on longer rides. Any ideas would be great - thanks!

If you have already got quiet series vance baffles i think you going to struggle to make them quieter...you could get some custom baffles made for you

The only way to make them quieter is to take them off and put something else on.

I looked at those pipes before I ordered my big shot staggereds. I am pretty sure the baffles in those pipes are not removeable.

With no helmet I hear way more wind noise above 35-40 mph than I do my pipes. Quiet baffles in the V&H slip-ons. No earplugs.

I put a set of the V&amp\\;H quiet baffles in my Straight Shots, and they are very noticeably quieter, and have a deeper tone as well. The pipes are still loud, but not ear-bleedingly so, hehehe... the volume increases a LOT when I open the throttle, too! Not sure if the Q-Series already have them installed or not, but it may be something to look into.

Cheers!

Thanks for the response - the baffles are removeable, but I think they are the quietest I can get.&nbsp\\; I was almost positive that nothing could be done, just thougt I'd ask.&nbsp\\; Thanks again!

As a suggestion it may be total rubbish but can you add extra fiberglass&nbsp\\;to them. I'm happy with mine but I though there was areas of bare holes in the baffle if these were also covered you never know.

Go to a cycle store that sells off road stuff. They should have a pipe baffle wrapping that you might be able to wrap you baffles in before you reinstall them. The stuff is trimmable to fit different size baffles.
