Default 16" apes - cable sizes?

I'm thinking about putting 16" apes on my 01 train, and was trying to price all the cables. Anyone know what size cables I need?? Thanks in advance

I think most people have been fine with +10's. I put 14" bars on mine and only use +8's. Hope this helps

I think +10 are too long. I just put 16 inch apes on my roadking and +6 was perfect. you dont want too much slack, not only will it look bad but you won't be able to adjust them correctly.

meant to say +8's are too long. +10's would be way too long.

Ok thanks for the info. I guess I also should have specified about 1 1/2" risers, although I haven't decided how high I want to go yet. Might have to get the bars first and see how they feel

This is plus 6" on all 3 cables right? Do your throttle/idle cables route through the nacelle? It's abt time to change my cables and I've got no idea how long they are! Got the handlebars + cables used.
