Does any one with a softail Deluxe and is vertically challanged have apes for bars? I have a Deluxe and I am only 5ft 4 but I love the looks of apes. I would like get some apes with a 12.5 inch rise any ideas.

 

i too am vertically challenged 5'6". before my crash i was going to apes on the heritage. if you'll call wild 1 they will advise the proper bar for your motorcycle andn height/reach.

 

Well, I am 6'1".... I am running 12.5 ww's on my heritage.

 

Im 5-9 with 18 inch chubby apes. You can really do alot of adjusting with apes.

 

I'm 6' 1" had 18s on my FXR they were shoulder height. If u find an indy u will probably be able to hold em up to ur scoot and see the approx fit...............

I'm 5'4" and have the Wild 1 12.5" Chubby Ape Hangers on my lowered Heritage Softail Classic.

I used to have a Softail Deluxe and I put the reduced reach Road King bar on it. I much prefer the Ape Hangers. The RK bar with the pull backs made the Deluxe feel real heavy in the front end when you went to pick it up or maneuvering around parking lots. I felt like ape hangers gave me greater leverage to pick bike up off of kick stand.

Only thing I don't like about my ape hangers is they are 36" wide. www.wild1inc.com has others that are 31" wide - I think a 10". You may prefer that. But otherwise, the ape hangers have such a big pull back that I could finally sit comfortably on my bike. No more back pain or feeling like bike is too big for me.
