Congrats! I couldn't decide on a SG or Fatty at first. Went with the Fatty cuz I always have said I would have one one day. That day arrived after many years, but I still admire all the hot looking new SG's. I can't wait to see what you do with this one. I really admired your fatty, but I think you had finished your work and wanted a new canvas or starter kit as they say. I will be watching your new project! I am still in progress with mine......a few more minor odd and ends and changes and then I'm going to start a new addiction, torque and HP. Might see ya on the road someday!! [sm=americanasmiley.gif] Have a safe and happy Memorial Day.....

Thanks guys, I can't believe all the possitve comments.

I loved my Fatty and transforming it and it was a sweet looking and riding bike.
It had the feel I always wanted in a bike.
Sit low in the seat,
reach for some wide Apes (wide &tall enough for me anyway),
crack that throttle for that Harley sound.
OH BABY !!!!!

But the Street Glide is a totally different feel. Not any better or not any worse, just a different feel.
I tell people it like driving a Corvette (Softail)or a Caddillac (Touring bike).
Both have there place and are damn sweet macines.

You all have a safe and happy Holiday weekend.
Be careful out there, they are alreadyrunning lots of Radar traps around here.

Hey Les,

Congratulations! As long as you don't change your screen name to "Texas Glide Boy", all will be forgiven for trading that beautiful Fatboy. Heee hee heeeeeee hee.

[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

My closest neighbor has a Street Glide. He changed mirrors, speakers, windscreen height with a new insert on that bat wing, he filled gaps between bags and rear fender, added LED brake light insert at the end of his rear fender, and has chromed most of his front-end. He's headed to floaters soon with braided lines.

Your new bike is very nice! I know you'll be making it your own!!!!

My neighbor found true utility forhis Street Glide when he went on a LONG trip (400 miles each way) and was amazed how smooth the run was for him.

Best of luck!!!!!!

Congrats on the New bike, tourers are nice, and a definate must if you ride 2 up for long distance. I was going to trade my Train in for a new Road King but could not come an agreement on my trade. I really would have regreted tradeing the Train in anyway, so I went and found an 03 Road King that needed some cosmetics. Wife won't ride on the back of the train anymore, even with the touring seat.

Great color on the bike by the way!

You know have the best of both worlds.
FYI: It was a test ride on a Road King that got me startedthinking about Touring bikes.
