Fender/Seat swap
I need some input, Ive been kicking around making a modification to my Standard, I love the Heartland kit, but is a little too pricey at this point in time, so I have found these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...41398&rd=1 and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...32405&rd=1. I have purchased from them before, they have pretty good stuff. Ive measured between my struts, and it measures 11 3/4 "
I want to keep the stock wheel and tire which is a 150. Does it look like these will fit after removing the frame horns ? and what do I do with the ECM? does it just lay under the seat, or do I need to cut out a pocket for it in the new fender? Any help or tips appreciated, I dont want to buy something off Ebay if it isnt going to fit.

RE: Fender/Seat swap
keep on researching, i just went through the whole thing, i even bought a jesse james stutless rear fender, and know i have changed my mind, im not going strutless, yet
i also have injected with a pc 111 and was wondering where to put that, there is a way,
just keep asking around, also look for other softail bobber's and find out what they did with the ecm.

RE: Fender/Seat swap
RCopeland1, Thats the exact seat and fender I used on mine except you'll want the 9" size fender. If you can find a 7.5" it will look the best w/ your 150, I went toa 180 and it fits nice. The ECM will need to be cut into your fender I heated up the plastic piece to fit in the hole I cut. The seat will need to be pulled apart and ground down for a nice tight fit. I'm going to re-do mine it's still not tight enough. Possible custom seat this winter. I also hacked off 6" of the fender as well. Good luck man, well worth the effort
