I have the PCIII on my 2007 Fatboy and have not had any problems. I ride in the rain and wash it often too. It fits under all 3 of the differnet seats that I have and the main unit goes under the splash guard in front of the tire.

The PCIII is a sealed unit, I spoke to Jamie at fuelmoto before buying mine and he assured me there is no need to water proof the unit with a bag or anything. Now, there are always exceptions as mentioned above, but you will find people who have had trouble with every tuner out there. The PCIII unit mentioned above obviously was letting water in, but, fuelmoto doubles the manufactuter warranty to 2 years so you are covered if anything happens. I have had mine for 1 year and 3500 miles, been through a couple monster rain storms and washed the bike several times, no issues. Mine is under the seat, I am considering moving the main unit to in front of my rain guard to free up more space under my seat.

Careful buying a sert off of ebay. It marries itself to one bike, and can't be swapped out.

Harley Davidson and the company that supplied them the SERT have departed ways. TTS Inc. will soon release a version of their own. If you are interested check out this thread.

I guess I'm lucky. I just bought a SERT on the 16th from Pikes Peak H-D. When I asked if they had any, theydidn't even hesitate to say yes. So, I would say they probably still have plenty left.

Odds are you won't find the SERT too easily. HD discontinued them about a month and a half ago and came out with the SE super race tuner kit pn/32109-08($550), which is still available but is already pending obsolete for a new tuner.

This tuner stuff is getting rediculous as far as price goes. If HD keeps changing tuners, they are never going to get their techs proficient with them. It's already hard to find a dealer who is good with the SERT or PCIII.

I just "installed" the Super Tuner and had a dyno tune. I changed pipes and air cleaner and that created the need. The Super Tuner has the ability to record 15 minutes of data that can be downloaded to a PC. There is not really an install since the unit is a USB interface. You will not believe the amount of information that is available from the software. (i.e. pulse width of each injector, adjust each cylinder separately on timing and fuel). You can buy one online from Zanotti Harley-Davidson in Butler, PA for $428.00 plus shipping. Cables were $30.00. My local H-D dealer did the dyno tune and spent over 8 hours and 25 pulls to get best performance. $295.00 for the dyno tune. Pricey, but I picked up horsepower and torque and better performance at cruise or WOT.
