Installed a set of rear boards on the Deluxe and the wife is very comfortable. If you like riding with the wife, her comfort is what it's all about. Got a pair of Harley brand boots at a western store for 25 bucks each. Won't ride without them.

Mikef & I exchanged an instant message to pass added info on peg mounting. Most realize that the posts themselves can be rotated, as can the peg orientation be adjusted from a primary set-screw on the outside of the peg.

Most modified exhaust systems still leave enough room for lots of peg options, and the posts can be put together in different lengths to provide further options. Sometimes passenger floorboards take a little extra finesse to get situated, but again, I've seen a wide variety of fitment.

I'm adding a few more pics that give a closer look at different angles. BTW, my rear fender bag is from Boss Bags (model #65). Mounts nicely to a rear rack.

Interesting thread. This was the reason why my wife got her own bike. Kinda brings back memories.

The only thing I've found wrong with using pegs is that my wife decided to rest her boot on the exhaust during a ride and now I have a black rubber burned onto my v&h big shots. I wasn't happy.

I have used cold oven cleaner on cold pipes - let it sit for 10 to 15 mins and then wipe with a clean cloth. Keep applying and waiting - It will come clean..

Default Be a poser.

Good riding boots will help your woman's feet on passenger pegs. My wife and I use my Road Glide for much of our daily transportation, visiting friends, going out to eat, to church, and etc. Often she is dressed nicely and riding boots may not be the best for going dancing, church, or other occasions. I have found if you ride 2 up alot you need to decide; do you want your woman comfortable and happy or do you want to look cool. Floorboars are the most comfortable. Pegs make you look cool. Forget her comfort, looking cool must be what it is all about!
