Default Advance Carbon Fiber Helmet

Start from the beginning...Live in NC, the State Troopers think they are qualified to tell me that my skull cap, which I've been riding with, collecting stickers for ten years, "Is Not A Qualified Safety Helmet or Certified DOT." So with the threat of a two hundred dollar fine and two points on my license, I finally caved in...Not so much as caved in but rather dont feel like dealing with the BS when I ride.

Did the research and found Advance Carbon Fiber helmets out of Orlando...Synical of ordering things, especially helmets, I ordered one anyway. Ordered the helmet on Monday afternoon, and received it on Thursday.. Took it for a test drive and MAN what a helmet. I had earlier bought a DOT helmet, but the damn thing was like wearing a parachute on my head..The ACC helmet felt like the skull cap

Anyway, for those of you who do wear a half helmet, this one is awesome, and looks badass. I'm not the one to recommend hardly anything, but this thing is a must if you want a DOT helmet, with the skull cap looks.

I like mine, but I think they are overpriced. My buddy paid $49 for his carbon fiber HCI andmy ACCisn't that much smaller or lighter. The web site led me to believe that it would be similar in size to a skid lid. Don't get me wrong, it is smaller and lighter than a typical DOT, but to me it isn't small enough to warrant a $140 difference.

I had on a ACC polo when I wrecked in November.

It has a deep scrape in it the size of a quarter and 1/8 in deep.... I did not even have a headache.

It passed my test. Have a new one and my lovely bride has one too.
