Default New Wild 1 handlebars

Just finished putting on a new set of Wild 1 WO500 this past Saturday. I also added new flame grips, chrome switch housings, levers and Kuryakan mirrors. Let me know what you think!!

But I ran into some problems known on this project. First when I removed the gas tanks, I blew air through them to rid them of any debree. As it would be, the top vent line running from one tank to the other was totaly clogged. Maybe this is why there was no gas in the left side tank when I drained them. Then after all said and done I went to bleed the new master cylinder. Well, it did not work so I looked into it a little further. I noticed that one of the two holes was almost complety closed in. So, I had to take everything back off and drill out the master cylinder. All in all it was a long process, but I think it paid off beautifully.

Picture of before and then after.

Looks great!! It's a lot of work to run wires but well worth the effort IMO. Those switch caps were the hardest part to me. Now you need to change all the cables out to stainless. IT NEVER ENDS!!!!!!1

Get the Chromite brand. Looks great and cheaper than the HD diamondback.

Where do you get the chromite brand from? It looks like I have to get cables that are about 2" shorter than stock length.

Sterling Chromite from Mangum shield is the name. They have a web sight and most internet part sights carry them such as JP cycle and Dennis kirk. I had my HD dealer order them cause I needed differant custom lenghs and dealer would "eat" them if they were wrong and reorder till I was happy.

The bars look great, I just got finished putting on the 501's. My riding position is alot better vs the stock drags.

Excellent choice of bars. I installed the same on my 05 Deuce. On my initial test ride I soon discovered my brand new HD Profile Custom w/slooted stems vibrate like mad at hiway speeds. I mean it's an absolute blur. At idle...they're crystal clear. What do think is up with that? I checked torque on everything and I'm really bummin' that these great looking mirrors vibrate big time.

From the pic it looks like 99FXST does everything in twos. Two bikes, two bins, two step ladders, two..........
