I love the look and sound of my BSS. Like what was already said, they are not overly loud IMHO, but when you twist the right grip it lets people know you are there. The wife says she can here the bike from about a block away. Just after I picked up the pike, I was coming to a stop and a lady stepped of the curb and walked right in front of me. I couldn't believe it. Then she said she didn't hear the bike. She must have been deaf .

I have the short shots staggered. they look awsome on any bike out there. They have an awsome deep throaty rumble to them and you will be noticed when you get on the throttle hard. I don't need earplugs when cruising down the street and I really can't hear them going down the highway due to the wind blowing in my ear. at the same time, I asked my passenger the other day when we were riding if the pipes were too loud and she said no......sounds HOT!!! Hot sounding pipes coming from a chick? Hmmmm.....sounds like a winner to me, don't you guys think so?
