go to an indi that has quit a few diff apes and just take them out to your bike hold them about where you will mount them see how they feel . personnelly I like mine in line with my forks not ahead or pulled back but shorter bars pushed ahead will seem taller pulled back shorter mine are 16 on one inch risers very stable and arms straight out I am 5'8'/9' seat also makes a diff.

Seth, my bike has 12.5'son it. I am about 5'11" as well and my hands are just below shoulder height. They are more straight out in front than inclined or declined. I have ridden 1800 miles in 4 days and 700 miles in a day, and the handlebars were great. My hands never went numb at all.

RE: I think I'm going Ape
These are 18" chubbys on my 07' fat boy. 1.5" riser. I'm about 6'2". I like em pushed straight up for a longer reach so they are higher to me. That and I like that look. About at my ear so when I look to the right or left I had a blind spot at intersections Ihad to look around. 14's put my armsstraight out and I'm now looking over my fists. Bar height varies so much between seats, risers, frame, person, etc. Put your arms where you want em and have someone ball park a measurement. This forum is awesome for different fitments I've found.
