I went with 10" wild 1 and 11/2" risers. Bought my barnett cables and brake line from this guy. Good service and prices. You will like the apes.

I'm having 12.5" apes from Hill Country Customs (found them on ebay) installed right now on my Springer Classic- they package bars, controls, and cables for a very good price ($629 for my setup with bars powdercoated). Cables are Motion Pro and my mech says they are good cables however, they are not shiny. I'll post picks once I get'r back.

I'm thinking about putting some 16" bars on my bike. When I do I'll buy new controls and everything so I can quickly change back and forth depending on my mood.

 

I have Barnett cables and like them. They are more SS looking than chrome. I am thinking about going with 16's eventually.

As for the ape discussion. My two cents on size. I'm 6'3" and put 18" Wild One Chubby's on my 07' fatty last spring. I'm now in the middle of a swap down to 14" chubby's. My arms are stretched straight out with a slight up angle. I also used Wild One's 1.5" riser. I didn't like 18's for the long rides. They definately get looks though!! They are for sale in case anyone wants em. I went with a 12"Novello wire harness for 18's and it's too long for the 14's but works fine.Hopefully back up this weekend. Here's a pic of a definate Bachelor Pad!!!Solved my no heat in the garage problem.

Anyone know about how high 12.5" apes would be on a fatboy? I am 5'11". Would by arms be inclined with 12.5" apes?

 

Seth, I'm about 5' 10 and got them on my Fatboy and love Em! I also have a driver backrest and the extra lenth helped so I wasnt leaning forward to reach. If I could figure out how to post a picture, I will

 

I am 5'9", these bars are 18" with a 7" riser and 2.5" pullback....Very nice, I love to ride this bike.
