Is the below light option a simple bolt on operation or does it require mods?

Here ya go. It is pretty simple.

This product allows you to relocate your license plateelsewhere for a much cleaner and sleeker look. This product is a Stock replacement item not to be used with SoftBrakes' License Plate Relocator Part Numbers SB-SSLPR-DLX and SB-SSLPR-SH.Our Tombstone Taillight housing is designed to fit 97' to Present Heritage Springers and the Softail Deluxe.

Does not included the lens.
This part number is to be used by a customer who is wanting to relocate their license plate some where other then the above the taillight on the rear fender.

Definitely a lay down or below light option provided by oldschool54. anything looks better than the stand up stock plate.

The first time I took my 12 year old son for a ride on my Fatboy, he was trying to dismount and was in the process of swinging his leg off and around the back of the bike. At that point, his pant cuff snagged the sharp corner of the stock plate bracket, he then lost his balance an fell completely off the back of the bike, and worse he slammed his head right off the pavement, thank friggin cripes I make the kids wear a full face helmet. He also scraped the crap out of his calf. I was so friggin pissed, I immediatelythrew that stock POS bracket in the fu$kin' trash and got a smooth, laydown bracket !!

I modified the stock mout to lay back. Easy to do and costs nothing.

I couldn't wait to get rid of that wind sail, so I went with the softbrake option.
