Thanks Skip for pointing me in the right direction on ebay. Mark, I may have secured a .pdf of the service manual. Will let you know definitely tomorrow so that your friend doesn't go to any extra trouble. Thank you very much guys and I'm happy to return the favor if ever I can.

Hey Karen,

Do you have an Owner's Manual? I know there is a schedule of maintenance items listed in there, itemized by mileage intervals.

I'll put that list together for you anyway. At least at a high-level, you'll know what else to ask for. My softail service manuals for '08 probably would give you the wrong detail since it talks about the 96" motors. The chassis stuff will line up well enough for you.

As I remember, changing all the fluids is the biggest thing, then plenty of things to check/lube. I know my indy changes my spark plugs every 5k, and all fluids on 5k intervals. I think HD changes tranny & primary at 10k intervals, engine oil at 5k intervals. Plugs get checked at 5k interval, but changed at 10 & 20k.

There should be plenty of folks willing to help you out..... you bad girl you. hee heeeehee.
Hey Paul, just saw this. Thanks so much for those details as yes, that's exactly what information I'm looking for and appreciate the reply very much.

This worked for adjusting my 05 Deluxe clutch...at 5K...Full clutch adjustment: Loosen the slack adjuster for the hand lever until it is very loose then you have to take off the inspection cover for the primary to adjust the clutch. Lock nut loosened up then take allen wrench for adjusting screw and turn in until lightly seated & then back out 1/2 to 1 turn, lock the nut back down put everything back together and adjust clutch lever's free play. You will be able to tell wich way to turn the clutch lever's free play adjuster by how much or how less of free play you are getting in the clutch lever depending on which way you are turning the adjuster.
