Thanks for the info. I am having the dealership perform the work so I am worried they might not be happy with me getting the parts somewhere else and bringing them in. Anyone ever do that?

I do most of my own work, but several times I have had a complicated procedure done by the dealer (Chrome Inner Primary Cover). Just talk to the Service Writer before you bring it in...my dealer has no problem with it!

Hey sethhobrin...

20% is very good for a local dealer, but a lot of that $$$ is offset by the local sales tax.

Try Zanotti in Butler, PA...excellent people (John, Tim and Patty) and very, very good prices with a good attitude on anything you need to return. No tax, flat rate shipping and real good delivery times.

Here's the link...https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/partLookUp.html

Big Thumbs-UP on this one...

As others have said, some pieces are better from Kuryakyn and some from HD. I find that my Independant shop always tells me what is better....they've seen parts from both companies. That is 1 of the reasons i use my Independants shop for all my work instead of HD dealers.

hey seth....who is your dealer? I've been ordering from Chicago h-d which gives 20% off also. But I'm an equal opportunity buyer. My dealer in Reno isn't even smart enough to match their price. Guess they'd rather have nothing than a little...mark-up be damned!

Milwaukee HD. They are only giving me 20% because I just bought a bike from them. They made a big deal out of it so I would imagine anyone else would have issues getting 20% also unless you are a smooth talker.

Is 20% a decent discount? thats what my dealership says they will give me on HD parts.
If the local dealer gave 20% off all accessories I'm not sure I'd buy anything else but HD parts/accessories and then only from the dealer. They don't, though, so I do buy other brands, such as Kury, and often from discount spots like Dennis Kirk, Chicago HD, etc. My experience with Kury has been favorable, but I've also got to say that the HD accessories I've bought have been pretty good quality as well.

So far, the only Kuryakyn stuff I got is their ISO grips, but dude, I LOVE them. Soooo comfy and the throttle boss is a life saver on the highway. No issues with Chrome yet, but so far not bad at all.

Anyone have the kuryakyn floorboards for rider and passangers, or any of shifter pegs, brake pads? How are they. I am seriously considering going with the ISO sets vs any of the HD styles as I did not find them appealing.
