Default 17in rear wheel to 18in??

Hello,
My first post. Does anyone know what would it take ,if it is possible ,to replace my 2007 Softail standard rear 17x6wheel to a 18in. It seems there are more aftermarket wheels to choice from. I know a18in tire but will it fit?? Thanks

After looking at mine, I would think it would be close, but should fit. One issue might be getting a 200mm 18" tire. Even with the 17, there isn't a lot of choices.

I'm running a 18x5.5 Performance Machineforged wheelwith a metzeler 200/50-18. Most of the spoke wheels will run 18 x 6.25 but you still run the 50 series tire to get the closest to stock tire circumference. It works fine and looks lots better.
I've seen a 20x5.5 spoked wheel that runs a 40 series tire, but I think only one company makes a tire with that sidewall height.

Nice Job guys on the bikes. What a help this forum has been. With an 18" has anyone thrown a lowering kit on it? And I think Metzler might make a 210. Will I make it(clearance)? Trying to get the biggest for the buck. Darkman. What manufactuerhandlebars are those? Just got a new 2007 and ready to rip into it. Thanks guys!

The news gets better! No tire rub with a passenger? I will now scout out a 18"wheelwith a Metzler 210/50 by 18 tire and slam it down some. Can't wait. Bike will be ready next week. Working in Germany as a civilian for the Army and headed to the Alps this summer. Are all 18"wheels standard or will I have to specify the year? Don't want any axle issues etc. Thanks.

Andy
