Fatboy fenders on deluxe

RE: Fatboy fenders on deluxe
They will fit just fine. It's the same frame and fork assembly. The only issue you might run into is the rear fender. The Deluxe seat fastens to the rear fender via threaded studs where the Fatboy seat bolts to the sides of the frame. The other issue is the rear turn signals. On the Fatboy rear fender you will have to mount the turn signals to the rear fender struts instead of under the rear tail light. Other than that the swap is pretty easy. I went the opposite direction from Fatboy to Deluxe.

I agree with Cool Dog. I'm pretty sure they have the same front forks as the Fatboy. The same fender would probably fit a lot of other bikes if you checked into it. A friend of mine put a Fatboy front fender on a Road King and he didn't have any problems with fit. It looks good on there too.

RE: Fatboy fenders on deluxe
i got a response from zylstra HD (they have some fatboy tins on ebay) They said i'd just need to change the rear tailight.
What I'm wondering is which years are going to fit?
what year did they change the rear tire from 130 to 150? I assume that changes the fender width or ......?
thanks

Cool Dog, you're bike looks great. It's funny that you changed from the fatboy to heritage fenders. I guess the grass is always greener no matter what you're riding.
I figure this bike is going to go through a few transformations before i'm done.
Someone mentioned the seat mounting holes, but i'm not worried about that since i'll be using aftermarket softail seats.
