Ilearned on a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. I ride a 2005Harley Springer Soft tail. Love it. Loveit. Love it. No comparison. I'm a 5'4"woman and it sits perfect. Being short, I have to watch for how the bike sits. A little heavier than most bikeson the front end when backing up and man-handling, but on the road it is sweet. Can't find anything else that I like better to replace it. Tell him to buy it. He will love it.

when you see it coming down the street you wont be saying i wonder what kind of a bike that is if you know bikes.
and i agree it is a little heavy when your moving around the garage or slow at speeds. other than that its satisfying that about somes it up in one word for me.

The only time I have heard negatives on them is when they're really raked out and long. A friend of mine had an old rigid with a loong springer front and said the front would "float." I'm sure, from the sound of all these proud springer owners, that a stock springer is great. Can't imagine they'd still make it if it sucked.

I love my Springer. Just rode over 300 miles today on my Springer Classic and the front end is solid. I don't have that big a problem with low speed parking lot riding also, but I'm not exactly trying to do those crazy police manuvers around cones.

I definately recommend one. The one small issue of note is that the stock HD springer comes with a weaker brake on the front. It required a little adjustment on my part in how much pressure I put on the front brake, but now I don't have any real issues with stopping power. I've also read about people that have put better brakes on the front. I'm looking into doing that at some point in the future.

Springers are like Scotch.........you love'em or hate'em. I wouldn't ride anything but.
I recently attended a meet of about 300 scooters, I counted 6 springers. So you stand out in the crowd too

The front end tends to wobble a bit under braking during a turn. The front brake is a bit slow to show its teeth and the neck bearings need a lot of care.

it rides very nice , seems to bottom out a lil faster than the "normal" front ends, heavier too, but makes steering and handling feel nice , overall its pretty cool, the look is the key........
