RE: Removing Turn Signals
All hell broke loose on my 03 when I removed the front signals.Check eng light on constantly, security icon flashing and the tach and speedo wigged out.I was alreadyrunning an equalizer on the rear to compensate for my LEDs on the back. Now I have two of them on the bike.

Quick way to get a ticket. Illegal in most, if not all, states on bikes produced after 1973.

If I'm not mistaking, in Oklahoma, if you have them, they have to work. If you don't have them, then whatever. I've ridden here for the past 6 years, and have had no problems. My '03 Sporty had no signals, and my '07 FXST has no signals (both bikes have had Kuryaken LED tail lights with integrated signals, but no fronts). As far as the load equalizer goes, I haven't done one on my softail. I just took the signals off, and that's it. Now, I will tell you this- since I've taken them off, a light has come on in my spedo.....the red key. My local dealer said that it came on because Iremoved thesignals, but says that there's no problem.

RE: Removing Turn Signals
I took the signals off my 06 street bob when i had that. I ran it first with no frontturn signals and then with none all the way around. The only thing i found was when you first turn the key on, the marker lights on the dash with flash simultaneously about 4 times and then your good to go. Now with my heritage and moving to a larger city, I am just replacing the signals with better looking ones because there was times i wished i still had them on my dyna in traffic.
