well, got her out for a spin around the block, no noticable difference really, looks lots better though. I never scraped at the stock height, but I still think I'm gonna put it back up 1/2 inch or so, I don't ride two up much, but once in a while I do.

 

My bike is lowered a little over 2 inches with the stock shocks & lowering bolts and I had to increase preload otherwise it would bounce and wallow. I actually like a stiff ride so I stiffened the preload as far as she'd go. Now it's low &stiff and I like it. I like shopping cart handling.

thanks dude, garage is kinda full right now, pan, 2 shovels, and two twin cams. that superglide is my dads, I'm keepin a watchfull eye on it for him for 3 years while he moves to ohio. he gave me the green on mods though, and he dosn't care how much I ride it.
kinda hard to keep it stock, so far I just did the easy stuff, license plate bracket, tinted signal covers and a chrome flame insert on the A/C. we'll see about all the other ****.


Itsmedant, I got a steal on fleabay for 80 bucks shipped. some guy bought em and ordered the wrong ones. he didn't list a photo, so I just emailed him and found out they were 422's. I just shopped for a month or so until I found the right deal. you'll love it once you do it, its freakin sick

 

American Classic Motors has the best price for the 422's ...

 

If you make 3 left turns it will be the same as making a right...then the pipes won't drag. My Deuce is down 1 1/2" front and rear and it will still left if you take it easy. John
