Hey thanks for all the posts fellas. Its really been a tough decision, Im still not sure what Im going to do yet.......They're both very comparable bags, I like the way the Boss bags detach but im not sure how much detaching im going to do, I'll prolly leave the bags on however if im on trip it would be nice to be able to pull the bags off and bring them inside. It sounds like the Iron bags have thicker leather and may be a little bit better made.......

I can't comment on the boss or the iron, but I put these on mine last summer, and so far have been very satisfied with them. Whole set up for the bags and the ghost brackets cost a little less than $500. They're quite good actually.

I haven't used either one, but had Boss Bags put stiffeners in my Heritage Bags. I went right to the factory which is 15 miles from here. While they were working on them, I browsed their showroom. I was very impressed with the style, workmanship and materials of their bags. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

If you like boss bags you might want to look at leatherpros.com

they are basically the same. same mounting system. They are a little less and dont have the boss bags badge (which I liked).

Quick detach was something i looked for but I rarely take them off so I dont know how big of a deal that feature is.

Just bought Iron bags for my RK Classic. Installed and took bike to dealer for some work. During week bike was at dealer, dealer stated many people saw the bags and throught they were the best they ever saw.

I love them and would never buy another brand.

Also, the customer service by the folks at Iron Bags is second to none.

I've had more compliments on my Iron Bags than any other accessory i've added to my bike. I also liked being able to get another color besides black. This is their custom tan color, looks brownish to me but what do I know. I'm having the seat leathered and dyed to match the bags.
