Default 2"tank lift on split tanks?

anyone done a lift on split tanks? or know why you you cant gey a kit for this on evo split tanks(before 99)? cause i want to do it to my 96 but cant find a kit. thanks

Excellent question.

I wonder if its as simple as just buying two sets of brackets? Certainly that's not the definitive answer you were looking for. But might be just that simple.

Anxious to hear what the right answer is.

I've been looking for a kit like the one you say for a lot of time, but the only ones I've found are for 2000 and later models. I suppose this is because the earlier models have the tank mounted in a way that makes to do a kit like this more expensive, but this is just what I suppose. Maybe someone makes this kit, but I've never found it.

Anybody have found what we are looking for???

probably because the way the rear bolts for each half, bolt straight down, if you were to just raise the front, it would change the angle and you could bolt the rear down properly.
