First off i had to wait 4 months longer to get my Rocker, making it a total of 6 months(7/18/2007 deposit). it came in on Jan. 15th great but no invoice, so when the invoice came in they prepped the bike and noticed scratches on the tank, tank console insert(whatever that thing thats in the center of the tank console), scratches on the swingarm and scratches on the rear pulley(sprocket).so they ordered these parts, great, the the tank console insert is on back order. while this is going on they have to try to find out if the existing SE Big Bore kit stage II 103" will fit on the 08 Rocker, found out it would work, got it on order, which i thought they had already taken care of all this before. Now the new pulley and swingarm came in, but the swingarm has welding splatter all under the powdercoat, horrible welds and a pinhole in one of the welds on the outside of the swingarm. the stock swingarm with the scratches looks better that the replacement. im about to explode and say **** it. have waited this long to get a HD piece of **** for $20,000, im so ****ing happy

 

makes me even happier is that my bike has been sitting there for almost 2 weeks now and i cant go riding today on it.

 

the better be doing something to "sweeten up the deal" if ya know what I mean...

 

That really ,really sucks, not only for you but the MOCO as well.
It's too bad any number of forum members may "jump" at the chance to be negative.

WHAT? i have been very patient, eager maybe, but come-on. hell they want me to make a decision between the two swingarms. asked them about a new one and they said the next would probably look just like this one.

 

how bad are the scratches? if they arent to bad you could sand it to bare metal and have it chromed or powdercoated. Same with the none welded one grind it down and have it welded. It's not that big of a deal it might cost you a little extra but it is going to get you on your bike sooner. People are just so dependent on the dealers when you could easily take it into your own hands and fix it.

 

Deadduck, that sought of thing usually happens to me when i buy something new, i feel for ya. Stick to your guns and dont accept the bike until its perfect, you've waited this long, dont let the dealer talk you into something your not 100% satisfied with, cheers Rats.

 

fellas for $20k the bike better be perfect when delivered. doesn't anyone appreciate the value of a hard earned dollar any more? if it ain't 100% i'd insist that it is or i wouldn't accept the delivery especially considering you've waited since july for the damn thing... good luck deadduck...
