I don't think you can run any apes with stock length cables....My Wild One 510 dresserswere at the limit with the clutch cable...

Doesn't that depend on what your stock set up is? i.e Train cables etc will surely be shorter than those ona Softy custom?

My Softail Custom came with 10" mini apes. I put a set of Wild 1 Chubbys 12.5" apes on and only changed the brake line. The other cables are stock. The cables don't have a whole lot of slack in them, but they're are still safe to use. I like not having a lot of slack in the cables. I think it gives a cleaner look to the front end.

So are those apes only 12.5 Live2Ride? I'm getting real confused they look so much tallerthan the 16"ers I was thinking of getting, theymust be massive!
