Default Helmet Locks

Brain has turned to mush and need ideas on helmet locks for a Softail Custom. Don't mind carrying the jacket but the helmets are a pain in the *** to walk around with. Can't seem to come up with something where the helmets won't hit the bike or the ground. I can custom build it, but need the brain kickstarted with ideas.

I take the easy approach. I have an inexpensive plastic coated cable and lock that I can eaisly run through the helmet and something on the bike to lock. Simple but effective.

Check out the Pacsafe Retractasafe 200. I think that will work for you.

I think I may have what will work for me. If I can get it to not look like **** I'll post a pic. Trying to have it hard mounted on the bike and only carry a key.

Many are useless because the strap can be cut. A fool can repair/replace the strap in some cases. Other helmets are easier to secure because of their design, such as full face.

H-D Universal Mount Helment Lock part number 45732-86. Lists for $18.95 in the MoCo catalog. Clamps to frame downtube, engine guard or saddle bag guard. Fits 7/8" to 1-1/4" round stock. I put mine on the down tube, left side. Cable lock would only work fora full face helment. There is nothing to run it through on 1/2, 3/4 or jet style.
