No, I have the HD cruise control.

I met a guy in Utah last fall who had one. He said it worked great and was very happy with it. He had used it for several years and many thousands of miles.

 

Cool. The folks only have a few months on theirs, so they'll be happy to hear about long-term product satisfaction.

You guys have been great, thanks for all the answers. Still just curious about the "why-nots" of the factory cruise. Is the wiring harness is not compatible?

I do like the manual cruise ya'll speak of, I think it is the best non factory option.

Any suggestions on pipes.....more throaty but not too loud. I usually leave the house at five in the am. Don't want to have to push my bike into the next block before I start it. I keep telling the wife that loud pipes are a safety device..........they can hear me coming. Haven't convinced her yet.

I think it's less a wiring harness issue and more of an ECM compatibility issue. If the non-touring bikes don't have an ECM connection for cruise, that would explain the requirement for an aftermarket module. However, this is entirely a guess.
