RE: deluxe bags
You are going to get a lot of different answers on this one but if your running stock exhaust your very limited at that point. Probably the bags Harley makes for the deluxe and you may find something else but not any thing great. Now if you change the exhaust it opens up a lot of other possibilities. Do this go to the section on this forum called deluxe pictures you will see just about every set of bags available for the deluxe with and without stock exhaust. you can take it from there and write the member who has what you like and ask what is involved. if you go the change exhaust route it will get expensive there is a lot to take into consideration so check things out

RE: deluxe bags
Hey Sarge;
I put V&H true dual fishtails on my 06 Deluxe and put the Heritage Springer bags on it and really like that look.
I should be getting the matching seat (fringed with the rail and pad),tomorrow and then I will post some pics of her.
BTW, thanks for your service in Nam.

These fit on the STICK Deluxe with Stock pipes. They have good size, (more than twice the size of the H-D bags) and fit the styling of the deluxe seat with both the basketweave, and braiding available. Pockets on rear are otehr options. bags are attached with Easy Brakets, for quick and easy removal to give you the no bag look, or to get in and work on the rear area of the bike.
Here is a pic of them on a stock 2006 Deluxe..

RE: deluxe bags
The one's I have on my Fat Boy from "Leather Pro" are made to fit a Deluxe with stockexhaust.
They are a nice size and they are very nice bags. I love mine. They are hard lined to keep their shape and come with the detachable hardware already. A lever cam system that locks solid (no rattling). The one looks great with the Deluxe basket weave.
Here's the plain LP3200 version on mine:
and a couple more pictures here too:

and here's the mounting bolts, I have the "HD removeable backrest/sissy bar" so you have to tell them if you have that or not.
