RE: Chrome sprocket cover
Yea, not that bad of a job, but you might as well ask Santa for some chrome sprocket bolts to go along with the cover. You'll be taking the ugly stock bolts out anyway. You could go with the snap-fit chrome bolthead covers, but I don't like the thought of "snap-fit" on a spinning object, like a wheel. BTW, think of all the other potential for CHROME while you have the back tire off!!!

RE: Chrome sprocket cover
I've heard the sprocket cover is actually better than the chrome sprocket, if the chrome starts to wear on the outer edges of the chrome sprocket theres nothin you can do. but the cover is so easy to replace and put a new one on.
anyways, yup, you gotta take off the rear wheel. bike jack and a few tools makes it easy. the hardest part is to re-align your rear wheel, but all you gotta do is count the threads or measure from the swingarm pivot point and your good to go.

From other threads on this subject: You can remove the rear wheel without touching the adjusters. Once the rear axel is out and the upper & lowerbelt guards are removed/loosened you can slide the wheel forward and remove the belt from the pulley and drop the wheel out from the swingarm. Don't forget a torque wrench and some thread lock for the pulley bolts.
I'm doing the inserttoo.

RE: Chrome sprocket cover
hardest part I found was getting the bolts out so fired up the compressor and used impact. I never touch my adjustors when taking the rear wheel off just drop the wheel down and belt will come right off also left off bottom guard was told by several indi. shops that they like tocollect trash /rocks and hurt the belt.
