Default Chrome FatBoy Wheels on a budget PART 2

Here is part two (the rear wheel) I did today. As promissed
from my previous post a couple of days ago, I photographed
everything along the way.

The only suprise here was the axle nut size. Can you believe the dealer
told me that the axle nut size was 36mm!! It is actually 15/16ths, so I had
to run to OSH to get another socket.

There was no suprises other than that. The wheel dis-assembled, and the
new wheel and PM caliper assembly was exactly like the service manual
said it was. All in all, I took my time and worked slowly, about 4 hours.

Rear wheel alignment and belt tensioning were a cinch. Could have used a
second pair of hands for this, but I managed. Now I need to get the cores
back so I can get my deposit back. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Theres also a couple of pics of the Easy Bracket Install too.

TLB, Did the turn signal relocation last february. Some guys remount the originals
on a bolt spacer (bolt w/o head) and screw into upper fork tins, but I did a passing lamp
addition with lampbar (think heritage, same bike as FB) so I had to buy new turn signal
lamps, bullit, to match the rears. If you look at Anubisss's 2002 FatBoy, you will see his
bike has the relocation w/o the passing lamp bar, and looks really really good.

Nice job with the picture documentation.Finished job looks great.

I did the same job (no helper)a couple of weekends ago. Installed new front & rear wheels/tires & PM brakes. Was the first time I ever tackled a job like that. But if you read up on it first& take your time, its very doable.

The PM brakes are definately dynamite looking. They also have a very different feel compared to the factory brakes.

The only thing I added in were chrome front & rear spacers. They are not very expensive & worth doing while you have everything apart.

Nice job!

Bike looks awesome, the only other thing I would have done since you had the rear tire off was to remove the black plastic fender guard and replace it with a stainless one, other than that you did a great job.
