Considering HD's 16" Fat Apes with the stock riser on my Slim. Are there any clearance issues with the tank or console? I like the idea of keeping the bars closer the tree. Also, the combination will put the bars at about 14". Are there any other considerations?
Rad bike man. IMO black chubbys 14 or 16" to match the sissy bar would set it off. either way, great job on it.
Looking for opinions. Going with 12.5" Chubby's with stock risers. Should I switch out the riser bushings? If so, recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Really any poly riser bushing will work better than the stockers. I've bought a couple different brands of poly bushings but have never noticed a difference.
Tyree, you kind of lost me, putting 16" apes on that will measure out at 14"? I'm sure it's just me. I would change out the bushings while your there..unless the bike is brand new or nearly new. I would also use Urethane bushings too. They are a bit stout, you may even notice it the 1st few curves your in, or so I have been told by others. They put up well against the stresses and leverage used when turning with apes. I put apes on my bike but mine were brand new so I didn't switch out, may do that this winter too. Surf around on the net a bit, I think you'll see that urethane bushings are preferred.
