Guys I have a question about apes. Does the blood rush out of your hands back towards you because of the incline in your arms? Don't your hands tingle and fall asleep?

I am thinking about going with 12.5" Apes from Wild1. Do you think my arms will be inclined upwards or downwards? I am 5'11" on an 08 Fatboy.

 

Yes, your hands get a lil numb, but after a while of riding. Solution, drop your arm down for 2 seconds and all is good...unless you can't ride with one hand. Then you gotta learn soemthing new.

sethhobrin- My arms don't get tired, really. I've spent quitea few hours straight on it since I changed my bars, and they're fine. I haven't had to put an arm down or anything, andI've been on rides where I only put my feet downto stop for gas.I'm 5'10with 16" bars on my bike. they're just slightly over my shoulders. At first I thought they may be too much for me, but I quickly got used to them, and now I love those bars! They're perfect! 12.5" bars should be no problem at all unless you have them on an 8 inch riser.

 

Hello to all I'm new to this forum, so I hope I get this right. I love the look of ape hanger bars since I was a kid. Now that I got my own scoot I got my apes on it! I chose the Carlini Flyin' apes 16" in an 1 1/2" diameter. I think that fat chrome bars are stronger than the thinner bars any time your over 8" over the riser in my opinion. Here's a pic of my 2006 with the apes.

I joined a while back and just ended up lurking. Shy I guess. Anyways......I love high bars and find them very comfortable. These are Wild 1 sixteen inchers on 1 inch risers. Total comfort.
