Thanks!
curious the pipes you have on there? Lookin' to get a F.B. Lo and I like how they match in length and are one piece.
The cycleShack slipons on my (stolen yesterday) XL1200V were nice and loud, but two piece. When I replace it, I'll be wanting something equally loud as those but perhaps throatier. (I'm guessing the engine itself will help with that regardless.)
Nice ride and thanks!

I put quiet baffles in mine because the standard baffles in the Vance and Hines pipes are really loud. Either way though, you do get a great throaty sound!
By the way.... that really sucks about your bike getting stolen!

awesome and thanks...
I'm still looking into that myself, but need a couple grand to foot it.
In the mean time, I'm upping them 6 inches.. from 10" on 2" to 16" on 2".
We'll see how much they are or are not a bother on my 150lb - 5'8" frame.
I figure, worse case, I first try bringing them back else (at least the wires and hoses have been stretched) shortening is less of an issue. It's SO much more costly to have to lengthen it all. Start long, go short.
thanks. I did get her back, thankfully. (sweat off), although the theif did jack it up a bit. Scratched the side, ripped out the ignition, broke the neck/fork lock and ripped off my "prescription" riding goggles. Jerks!
I'm out $1K for the goggles and deductible but at least she's back!
She's at my HDealer being doctered up and having components I'd ordered before hand added as well as ones I didn't.
dealer:
- the new apes (again) 16" on 2"
- DayMaker LED Headlamp
- Modulator
- ignition and coil relocation
- loJack (as good as it will do if I'm asleep)
- considering some basic front end 3M paint protection film (I ride daily in Seattle's grimy weather.)
- Combo Digital Speedo/analog Tac from HD
me:
- I installed a massive Kryptonite concrete anchor in my garage with a similar heave chain.
- I also grabbed a few more portable locking devices and reminders for when I'm out and about.
