16" Chubbys Wild Ones on 2012 RoadGlide Custom CVO
IMG_0290.JPG
Not sure how to get the pic from my I-Pad pictures file to post here. Might have to just click on JPG above. Bike is a 2012 RGC CVO with 16" Chubbys Wild Ones. I'm 5'9". Seat is stocker. My inseam 32". I ran 14's on my 06 StreetGlide and always felt I could go 16's on next bike. So, that's what I did. No regrets. I love 'em and think they look great. IMHO.

Finally...
Finally got me some apes ... should have done it a long time ago, but did not want to spend all the $$$ on cables, risers, brakelines - ended up spending a lot more on several different bars.
Got some RSI Crush Tube apes, 1.5" diameter and 15" high with 1.75 risers. Also got Wild One top clamp with hidden bolts for clean look, Chromite cables and brake lines (went with only one throttle cable to keep it as clean as possible without running cables internally), poly bushings, Novello wire extension kit, Ness grips, and 3" Licks mirror. Very happy with the look and feel. Drove 600 mile round trip up to Dallas last week to get bike dyno'd and never had any discomfort. Bike handled great and took no time to adjust to apes from very low drag type bar. I am amazed how many people either love or hate apes ... the haters all feel they have to come tell me I messed up the bike, but I don't give a sh!!. Cruising up the highways to Dallas at 80 - 90 mph speeds - did not get anymore wind sail effect than any other bars I have had with no shield. Plus, I could not help but love the look of the nacelle under those apes when I was sweeping thru a turn. Hand grip is a little above shoulder height (I am 6" tall) and I may pull bars back another inch to get a little more bend in the elbows. On a side note - spent night at a Days Inn in Dallas and the hotel told me to park bike right outside lobby front door so they could keep an eye on it - very cool!
