Sarg, I have a 2007 FB with the Slash Cut Rush slip ons 2.0" baffles. AllI can say is:

1. 2.0" or less no remap or other work required.
2. The sound is unbelievable. If you want people to know your there..blip the throttle...Oh Ya!
3.Easy installation.
4. Inexpensive....237.00 shipped to door from FuelMoto
5. No power loss, if anything...I'm sure it's purley in my mind, when you get on the throttle on the open
road, the sound seems like it's giving you more power!!!!
6. One of the best mods made to the bike.

Finally, do a search on rush slip on fatboy, and you will get more info and opinions to help you make a decision.

VA Fat Boy pretty much said it all.

You will actually get a smallH.P. increase according to RUSH http://www.epiflex.com/index.html

1. If you are going with a Slip On, they are the best sound, I switched to a full Vance & Hines system, but the Rush had a better, deaper sound (imo).
2. I had the 2 1/4" baffle on mine, a little loud for me - it wasn't bad, but I'd recomend the 2" baffle - they are really loud (awesome)at full throttle.
3. Changing to a differentbaffle, is about $60
4. Slash Down - You can't believe how much that alone helped the looks. I hated those stock pinched off ends.

Here's a couple of old pictures:

I put the 2 1/4" Rush slip-ons onto my Screamin' Eagle springer, LOVE the sound!

very deep and loud, get lot of complements on the sound.

I put the 2.0 slash downs on my Heritage. I get asked alot what they are. They sound great, and when you goose it, they get really loud. I find myself riding at a lower rpm alot now cause when you accelerate they get a beautiful deep Harley rumble sound. I've had them about 3 months now, and to me, they are the best deal for the money that's out there.

Sarg67,

I put rush baloney cuts with the 1.75 in. baffles on my 08 deluxe. I bought them from Cyclespot
and they cost under $220 with shipping. Very pleased with the sound. Had 2" baffle slash cuts
cuts on my previous 07 Nightster and they were a tad loud ( but just a tad). 1.75's seem to be
right for me. They seem to be a quality product. I had absolutely no fitment problems on two different Harleys.

You think they're too loud?. Are they really that much over stock. I want something just a bit louder than the stocks. I was going to go with the 1.75, now ya got me thinking.
