Default black v&h shortshots

what differences are there between the 2008 and 2005 softail that would stop the black shortshots fromfitting the2005 model as they are only available for the 2008 and I think they would look great on my 2005 night train

Well for one you would have to plug the o2 sensor hole (no biggy) And because of the frame difference a little bending of the mounting bracket. You can make any thing work if you really want to.
Yeah, I agree they would look sweet on your ride.

Thanks rockerhead
I work on helicoptersand have access to a sheet metal workshop so the mounting bracket is no problem and was considering fitting the thundermax so that sorts the o2 sensor hole!

received this reply from V&H

Yes, they are the same in terms of mounting. The only difference is that the pipes for the 07-08 models have O2 sensor bungs for the O2 sensors that come stock on those bikes. All you would need is to purchase some O2 sensor plugs and that would cover up the holes.
