I have a Springer classic, im so used to it I dont even notice it anymore lol Happens all the time!
Same here. I hated dragging the mufflers so I took them off. Now, when I scrape the boards hard while the Mrs. is on the back, she always says, "Sweet!" Sometimes we get to horsin' around & even drag boards just changing lanes.

you need to go back around the opposite way and scrape the other one now or your bike will be unbalanced.

It used to scare the hell out of me, but now it brings a smile to my face. There's not much left of my boards, but it has been fun

The chrome peeled off the board the first time which was the most disturbing thing. My previous boards would just grind down. Did everybody else's chrome come off their boards?

You guys are nuts. One of the things I miss about my Sportster is how far I could lean that bike around corners. It was a blast. I'm a lot more carefull leaning my Fat Boy.

What is wrong with scraping a board? That is the performance limit of your bike. If you know what your limitations are then you have a fuller understanding of your bike control. As long as you don't unload the tires you are pretty much safe.

I get dissapointed when I don't drag the boards at least twice a day. My wife practically flys off the seat from panic when we do the "asphault floorboard waltz" !!
