Bringing up an old thread. Picked up a nostalgic air cleaner for 06 EGC today, but it doesn't seem to clear the base of the air air cleaner. ( see original thread at top). Anyhow, I'm having the same problem. Checked the part # and seems fine. Any help. I tried to email the guy who wrote the original, but it's a no go.

You don't want the one with the notch and the part number you put in 29138-91 has it.
The one without the notch is part number 29136-91, least that's the one I have, and it fits fine.

Parts manual says thats for 84-89 evo with "carburetor"....But you have itand it's fits...that's backa$$wards...I guess I'll have to go to the dealer and see If they have it in stock!! Did you have to use the additional gasket too part# 29591-99??
