deadduck357, i also am getting the se 103 big bore kit, only because my dealersaid the 110 kit is not avalible for the rocker yet!
is there a difference in the kits(rocker vs. other 96's), thought there were just the black and "not" black kits for the 96cu.'s?
i just dont wanna go that far(110cu) or spend the extra $.

I thought the motors were the same in all the Softails....? I don't see why the 103 kit would be any different for the Rocker.

Fender problems??? Why don't they just tell us they can't get the headlight to work. I built a custom with NO welding experience and bought a welder, watched a video and welded my fender to the swingarm with NO problems. Harley has built millions of bikes over the past 100 years and they cant get a fender right?? I think there's more to this than meets the eye.
From what I've been able to learn from everything out here about the issue with the fender: it is a built-up unit.
It's bonded to a sub-structure, bolted to the swingarm. This is no secret, it was graphically shown on a recent "Test Ride" show.
The first issue I've geard about is due to the adhesive- paint curing ovens were too hot for the bonding adhesive, causing it to
de-bond from the fender. This is info from an HD factory employee in York, Pa. who posted here.
[WARNING: OPINION FOLLOWS]
I also suspect that because the fender is bolted directly to the swingarm, that the shock loads to the adhesive over time are also causing
a major structural integrity issue due to overstress from the vibration and G loads.

dealership called today and said they got my shipping info in today, my rockers ship date is Jan. 9th.
he also told me that he found out what was the hold-up on the rockers, supposedly someone had a patten on a rear-end just like the rocker, and that had to be taken care of.

deadduck357, so your dealer told you their was a copyright issue not a mechanical one. Well I guess thats good news for all of us first in-liners, if it's true.

[:@]I called Harley Davidson Customer Service today around 11:00am est.
I was told that they are going to start production of the Rockers in JAN.
What kind of bullshit is that?
I thought they were already producing Rockers....?
I know of a salseman who move here form CAL. He told me that Bartel's HD in CAL. has 3 Rockers that they are riding around....
Can any one confirm this?
Is something starting to smell at HD?

I have had a Rocker C on order since July. I called my dealer to check out the information posted at the beginning of this "Rocker Delay Update." The General Manager and owner of my dealership checked with H-D - as well as multiple other dealerships in order to verify this information. They came up null. H-D and the other dealerships said that the premise that this topic is based on is totally incorrect.
According to the dealer my delivery date is currently Jan 08.
