I got the Hooker troublemakers with the slash down. I know what your sayin about the V&H BR. Seems like everybody has got em. but then again when you actually go out and ride they are pretty rare. I think lots of folks on the forums and in magazines have em, but to the average joe they are not that common. anyways, I went with the troublemakers cause they are very similar to the BR, but they have one single heat shield with no joints, and they are ceramic coated on the inside for better heat transfer and more HP. anyways, good luck.

Another Vote for Hooker Trouble Makers Scallap Cut, they say a true steped header? cermic coated!! a little loud?

BSS w/ quiet baffles. Nice low tone, bark and bite are still there. Cleans up the highs and mids in my opinion. Lets the business tones shine though. Superb build and quality. .....need we say more?

To simply put it.
1st choice in V& H
Next choice is personal preference.
If you are looking for more of a custom and look at me look, then get the BR
If you want a more traditional look thats says I'm not really a show poney but I know you are admiring my bike then get the BSS.
Or if you want the new look get the 2 into 1 which also look great.
I have the BSS on my Deuce. Sound great, Look great.
Just bite the bullitt and get what your heart says your pesonality is all about.
Performance is hardly the issue here and I very much doubt you would notice the difference in power etc anyway or care.

i bought the big radius and pulled the bafffles and cut them in half and it really gives a good sound, i have a 07 fxstc and plan to upgrade to the 103 kit and i hope it sounds a little louder and deeper

lastbike, can you tell me how you got the baffles out. was the curve an issue?

Both sound good... but IMHO the BSS follow the lines of the bike better. The BR detracts from the other chrome. When someone looks at your bike they should become chromatose and say "WOW"!
